My Conscious Birth Preparation

We carry a whole universe within us.

Pregnancy & Conscious Birth Preparation

Pregnancy is not only a physical process — it is a profound transition into motherhood.
This space is for women who wish to prepare for birth consciously, with trust in their body, their baby, and the natural process of giving birth.

My work supports you in preparing for birth in a grounded, informed, and embodied way — combining anatomical understanding, felt body awareness, and practical tools you can rely on during labor.

My Conscious Birth – A 10-Part Birth Preparation Course

My Conscious Birth is a 10-session course designed to prepare you for a natural, empowered, and self-determined birth.

The course supports you in understanding what happens in your body during pregnancy and birth — not theoretically only, but through direct embodied experience.
The intention is not to control birth, but to help you remain oriented, present, and informed in every phase of the process.

This creates the foundation for a birth in which you know what is happening, why it is happening, and how to meet each moment with awareness.

Online & In-Person Options
The My Conscious Birth course is available in person in Costa Rica as well as online.
Online sessions are held live and offer the same guidance, space for questions, and personal connection — allowing you to prepare consciously for birth from anywhere in the world.

What You’ll Learn

Anatomy & Functional Understanding

You’ll gain a clear understanding of the anatomy involved in birth — including the pelvis, pelvic floor, uterus, and surrounding structures.
We explore how the uterus works during labor, how contractions build and change, and how the different phases of birth unfold.

This knowledge helps reduce fear and uncertainty and allows you to recognize what is happening in your body at each stage.

Embodied Anatomy (Hands-On Awareness)

Beyond theoretical knowledge, the course works with felt anatomy.
Through guided hands-on awareness, movement, and perception, you’ll learn to sense your pelvis and pelvic space from the inside.

This embodied understanding helps you:

  • recognize tension and relaxation

  • sense when to soften, open, or pause

  • stay connected to your body during labor

The Pelvis as an Energetic Space

The pelvis is explored not only as a physical structure, but also as an energetic space.
We work with the relationship between pelvis, breath, nervous system, and energetic centers (chakras).

This supports grounding, inner stability, and a sense of orientation during the intensity of birth.

Understanding the Transitions of Birth

A central part of the course is learning to recognize and understand the transitions of birth.

You’ll explore:

  • the different stages of labor

  • how sensation and energy shift between phases

  • how to recognize thresholds and transitions

  • how to stay oriented as intensity increases

Instead of feeling overwhelmed, you learn to identify where you are in the process and what your body is asking for in that moment.

Opening and Closing — Working with Inner “Doors”

We use the image of inner “doors” to describe how the body opens and closes during birth.

You’ll learn to:

  • sense moments of opening

  • recognize holding or closing

  • support opening through breath, awareness, and posture

  • respect necessary pauses and moments of rest

This understanding supports a birth process that unfolds in rhythm with your body rather than against it.

Self-Determination Through Understanding

A self-determined birth means knowing what is happening in your body and being able to make informed choices.

When you understand the processes of birth, fear often gives way to clarity.
Clarity allows presence.
Presence supports trust — in your body, your baby, and the birth itself.

How I Work

My approach is experience-based, attentive, and respectful of each woman’s individual path.
I combine elements of yoga, body awareness, anatomical understanding, and conscious birth education.

Sessions are adapted to your stage of pregnancy and your personal needs.
There is no pressure to perform or achieve a certain outcome — the focus is on preparation, understanding, and inner orientation.

Sessions are offered both in person and online, depending on what best supports you during your pregnancy.
