About me - Massage & Yoga Therapy in Costa Rica

Who I AM

My name is Britta Waldmann.

I live and work on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, where the ocean, the rainforest, and the slower rhythm of nature have become an essential part of both my life and my work.

I am a yoga therapist, massage therapist, bodyworker, and mother of two daughters.

But more than anything, I am someone who has spent many years listening to the body — my own and those of the people I work with.

Over time, I have come to trust that the body holds far more wisdom than we often give it credit for.

It knows when something is out of balance.
It knows when we are holding too much.
And often, it knows long before the mind is ready to admit it.

Much of my work is rooted in my own experience of change and transformation.

Like many of the people who find their way to me, there came a point in my life when what once worked no longer worked.

That experience taught me that lasting change rarely happens through force, pressure, or trying harder.

It begins when we slow down enough to listen.

My Mission

I believe that the body already knows how to heal, regulate, and find balance. My role is not to fix or force change, but to listen, support, and create the conditions in which the body can respond in its own time.

My work is:

  • holistic and intuitive

  • deep and precise

  • focused on posture, movement, breath, and the nervous system

  • Each session is guided by what is present in the moment.

  • I combine therapeutic techniques with mindful touch and awareness, allowing the body to soften, reorganize, and reconnect.

Who This Work Is For

This work is for you if you…

  • experience tension, stress, or discomfort in your body

  • want to treat a physical issue such as backpain, neckissue or injuries

  • feel disconnected from your physical sensations

  • seek a respectful form of bodywork

  • want to develop more awareness, ease, and presence

  • feel that stress, emotions, or life circumstances are showing up in the body

You don’t need to know what’s “wrong.” You are welcome exactly as you are — with your body, your history, and your pace.
